The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

The 19th Amendment guaranteed all american women the right to vote. On June 4th 1919, it was passed by congress, and on August 18th 1920 it was ratified.

 

 

Since July 13th 1848, when Elizabeth Cady Standton, Lucretia Mott, Martha C. Wright, Jane Hunt, and Mary Ann McClintock got together for tea, the Suffragette movement went into full force to allow women the right to vote. Every women in America should vote to remember the struggle that these great women went through. This is truly one of the great triumphs' of women.
